What to check before choosing instalments
- The instalment interest rate is 0%, but the issuing bank may charge a conversion fee.
- Conversion fees, terms and the conversion process differ between banks.
- Not every card or card account qualifies for the programme.
- Once converted to instalments, a transaction may not be cancellable under the bank’s policy.
- Supplementary cards, corporate cards, overdue accounts, or transactions already on a statement may not qualify.

It depends on the bank. Sometimes Clever Academy or the payment gateway handles it; in other cases the cardholder confirms or registers the conversion with the issuing bank.
