
Clever Academy is recruiting for an Academic Director to lead academic excellence in the courses and tutoring services we are offering to our students.
The successful candidate for this interesting and varied role will have strong academic management skills, including great operational and interpersonal skills, and a real interest in driving academic quality.
Key responsibilities include:
- Lead and manage academics team
- Establish and lead the team in meeting academics goals
- Manage and execute academic projects successfully
- Identify initiatives to improve and develop academic operations
- Prepare course schedules, ensuring they meet customer and business needs
- Establish and monitor performance against academics budget
- Provide leadership for teacher recruitment and HR areas
- Support teacher development work
- Roll out course updates, new products and company academic initiatives as needed
- Line-manage some instructors
Requirements for the position:
- Bachelor’s degree
- At least 3 years of work experience in academic management
- Staff management experience
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, presentation and leadership skills
- Experience of test preparation or standardized tests an advantage
- Hiring, managing, coaching and performance assessment experience preferred
- Fast learner with strong problem-solving and decision-making skills
- Excellent time management, project management and organizational skills
- Self-motivated and comfortable in a fast-paced environment
- Team player with a diligent work ethic
- Computer literacy and familiarity with online technology, including the use of Google applications, CRM, LMS is an advantage
